What user privileges does a qwikLABS™ Trainer have?
In addition to having the ability to do everything that a qwikLABS™ Student can do, qwikLABS™ Trainers can also create, edit, manage and delete classes. Trainers can create a new class, modify the class information and add or delete students. Additionally, Trainers can activate a lab in a class which enables students to start using that lab, pause a lab which stops students from accessing or using the lab or end a lab which terminates and stops access for all of the students in a class. Trainers can also select, start and end any of the labs available to them as an individual user.
To be designated as a qwikLABS™ Trainer please contact your qwikLABS™ Administrator or firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'm having issues with one qwiklabs user. I've tried to provision my students email address in my current class, but this student cannot access the class. Please help!
Please check to see that the student’s email address was entered properly. Next, check to see if the student has entered the correct url (qwikLABS™ instance). Finally check to make sure the student has created a qwikLABS™ account and has verified his/her email. A verified account is required for a student to login.
If this does not resolve the problem, visit qwiklab.zendesk.com to submit a Request. Be sure to include a detailed description of the lab you were running and any error messages you received.
I am a Trainer and I want to practice a lab before my class starts. What is the best way to do that?
If you have been assigned a class by your coordinator, you switch to student view and start the labs in that view. If you have not been assigned a class, you need to ask your coordinator to assign you a class so that you may practice.
If I click on the Start Lab button and then wait whilst cloudformation does its thing, once it's done (after approx. 15 minutes), will the endpoint be visible on the screen above the key pair drop down list? Will this require a refresh?
Yes, you will see the endpoint once the lab has finished launching. It will not require a refresh.
